As the Recycling & Treatment Director, Joelle plays a crucial role in overseeing Dulsco’s waste treatment portfolio within the Environmental Solutions business. Her primary responsibilities revolve around managing and optimizing the company’s waste treatment facilities in the UAE. This includes overseeing the Material Recovery Facility, Liquid Treatment Facility, Construction & Demolition recycling plants, and the Refuse Derived Fuel Plant. Additionally, Joelle is entrusted with the task of monitoring Dulsco’s carbon footprint and spearheading other sustainability-related initiatives.

Joelle’s academic background serves as a solid foundation for her expertise in the field. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry/Life Science, as well as a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences. With 13 years of experience under her belt, she has honed her skills in waste management, recycling, material recovery, ecosystem restoration, reforestation, and other environmental solutions.

Her journey at Dulsco began as a Recycling Specialist, where she showcased her abilities by overseeing the operations of the Material Recovery Facility. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in designing and implementing recycling programs while conducting waste audits for clients. Recognizing her capabilities, she was subsequently entrusted with heading the Expo 2020 project. This endeavor involved overseeing all aspects of the event’s success, ranging from developing and executing the waste management and recycling strategy to achieving the sustainability goals set for the Expo2020.

Before joining Dulsco, Joelle was the Environmental Expert at Emirates Environmental Group. She also led numerous projects in collaboration with the European Union (EU) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Lebanon. Moreover, her expertise in the field of environmental sciences led her to deliver lectures on the subject at the prestigious Saint Joseph University of Beirut. Joelle’s unwavering commitment to service excellence is evident in her meticulous attention to detail. Fueled by her deep-rooted passion for sustainability and preserving the environment, she has dedicated the past 13 years to making a positive impact in the field.
