Maria has extensive experience in building business from scratch in real estate, tech startup and venture capital fields. Born in 1992 in Krasnodar (South of Russia), at the age of 16 she moved to Europe to study in boarding schools in the UK and Switzerland. Graduated in 2015 from one of the UK leading law schools, Maria has chosen the path of working in business development rather than legal. From the year one of her studies, she started working in business development of the London based real estate investment firm. In 2015 she moved to Moscow to launch a chain of bakeries together with her father and later moved on to proceed her career in investment-related business in 2017. She joined the team of Moscow based American Accelerator Yellow Door as a head of development. Since then Maria has been focusing on startup investment and innovation ecosystems building. In 2019 Maria was invited to Skolkovo Technopark ,the  biggest tech hub in Europe, to develop effective strategic partnerships with angels and early-stage private equity firms. During her work there as a head of investor relations, she launched Adventureland – a non-for-profit startup community that became the biggest in Eastern Europe in less than two years (over 5000 startups and 500 investors). Over three years, community members attracted more than $40mln funding. Today, the community alumni are attracting investments from the top global VC’s, such as Draper Associates, Greylock Partners and TMT investments. Since early 2022 Maria has been living in the UAE and consulting tech companies and VC’s on investor relations and portfolio management in MENA. In total her clients have 500+ companies in their portfolio from all around the globe.
