Rungano is an accomplished senior banker, finance expert and senior business professional, with a career spanning over 14 years in banking and having experience in covering clients across the Africa-Middle East region. He has a proven track record in relationship management, credit analysis and customer due diligence from one of the Globally Systemically Important Banks, Standard Chartered Bank.

He is currently a Director within the Client Coverage Team covering Banks and Non-Bank Financial Institutions in the United Arab Emirates, where he has been for the past 11 years.

Rungano is an avid economics student and a keen business development strategist whose desire to contribute to the Zimbabwean business community in the UAE and the GCC at large saw him taking a leading role in setting up the Zimbabwean Business Council in the UAE, a journey which took over 2 years. Rungano is currently the Chairperson of the Business Council in the UAE.

Rungano holds Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Banking from The National University of Science and Technology Zimbabwe and a Master’s in Business Administration from Herriot Watt University’s Edinburgh Business School. He is also a Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist awarded by ACAMS Institute.
